We Care - Helping the elderly live independently in their own home, website update

We Care

Helping the elderly live independently in their own homes

We Care Home Improvements is a charity that helps people live comfortably and independently at home for as long as they choose, enabling them to enjoy their lives in the surroundings they love.

The brief

We Care went through a rebranding and needed new photography and a website to match that was easy for the We Care team to edit themselves.

Better organisation of the website was needed, including the primary navigation and clear call to actions to contact We Care and book an appointment to see the showroom. We Care Home Improvements also wanted to refocus their offering and highlight their adapted bathrooms more.

The process

We discussed their needs for the new website, including new features and web content such as the help and advice section.

After planning had been completed, we moved on to wireframes based on the project objectives to show where the content would be positioned and how it all fits together, including the new website navigation and content pages.

The Solution

We Care went through a rebranding and needed new photography and a website to match that was easy for the We Care team to edit themselves.

Better website organisation was needed, including the main navigation and clear call to actions to contact We Care and book an appointment to see the showroom. We Care Home Improvements also wanted to refocus their offering and highlight their adapted bathrooms more.

The Results

The user experience was vastly improved, with a new navigation and content architecture making it easier for users to find the content they need and leading to an increase of over 40% more page views per visitor with the help of the new help and advice section.

One main area of improvement is the bathrooms page. This new rich content page provides all the information required in an easy to read and understand format with a clear call to action leading to more bathroom enquiries.

The new website is responsive, looks great and functions well on all devices. The previous website was not mobile-friendly, and with just under 50% of We Care’s traffic using mobile devices, this change has meant more users can find the content they are looking for and easily find the call to actions, such as getting a quote or contacting the team.

We continue to monitor the website for the charity, which means the team at We Care Home Improvements don’t need to worry about any issues, such as links no longer working. The new website and photo library takes a lot of stress away and save them time as they can edit the website with ease.
